Why Audiology: Marlys’ interests in communication and learning disabilities led to a long and successful career in Educational Audiology. She worked primarily with babies and children in North Iowa for over 25 years. Marlys found great satisfaction in removing obstacles that prevented a child from having a successful education and improved overall well-being. She has always had an excellent working relationship with Hearing Associates while working at the AEA (Area Education Agency). That relationship allowed Marlys and her team to provide the best of services to children with hearing aids in the schools. Because of the respect gained in partnering with Hearing Associates over the years and her continued commitment to helping others achieve better hearing, Marlys has decided to come on staff to work primarily with ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) patients.
