Education: Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech and Hearing Science and Psychology from Michigan State University and a Master’s degree in Audiology from Northwestern University.
Hobbies and Interests: Reading, traveling and spending time with family.
Why Audiology: Stuart has always been interested in sound perception. He took several audiology courses and hearing science courses that encouraged him to pursue a career in audiology.
Organizations: Stuart is currently the American Speech-Language and Hearing (ASHA) representative to the American Medical Association’s Editorial panel for Common Procedural Terminology (CPT). He also co-chairs ASHA’s Healthcare Economics Committee. Stuart has previously served as President of the Iowa Speech Language Hearing Association, President of the Iowa Speech Language Hearing Foundation and Chairman of Clear Lake Parks and Recreation Board.

Education: Bachelor of Arts degree in Audiology from the University of Iowa, Master’s degree in Audiology from Northwestern University and Doctorate from A.T. Still University.
Hobbies and Interests: Spending time with family, traveling, gardening, scrapbooking and attending her sons’ various activities.
Why Audiology: Tanya wanted to work in the healthcare field and took classes in Audiology, Pharmacy and pre-med. She spent a summer job shadowing with a local pharmacist as well as at Hearing Associates, P.C.. She was impressed with Gary and Stu’s business and how passionate they were about helping patients with hearing problems. As an audiologist, she is able to work in the healthcare field, diagnosing ear and hearing problems and improving patient hearing and communication abilities.

Hobbies and Interests: Reading, embroidery, knitting, sewing and spending time with family.
Why Audiology: Rachael has always liked working with children and had initially wanted to help kids with hearing loss as a speech pathologist. After taking some audiology classes, though, she realized that she enjoyed the science of hearing and the technology involved with hearing aids, so she decided to become an audiologist.

Hobbies and Interests: Spending time with friends and family, hunting, fishing, and golf. Why Audiology: Jeff always knew that he wanted to help others in life. He was unsure how he would do this until he took his first communication disorders course during undergraduate studies. After initially pursuing speech language pathology, Jeff discovered that his true passion was audiology. Jeff’s goal is to improve the quality of life of patients and their family members by providing excellent hearing healthcare.

Hobbies and Interests: Spending time with friends, family and pets, hiking and camping, sewing Why Audiology: Christine discovered audiology through studying speech language pathology. However, after job shadowing an audiologist during a clinical placement, she realized that she had true passion for audiology. She had then decided that she would continue her education in audiology instead of speech language pathology.
